For this project our goal was to create a charcoal portrait of ourselves or a classmate. I chose to draw a classmate due to struggling to get my proportions and likeness correct.

During the process I enjoyed the drawing of the face, mainly focusing on the eyes and the beard. The parts I struggled with were the nose and the mouth. Those parts I couldn’t get the proper proportions compared to the rest of the face, but in the end I think it turned out well.
