The purpose of this project was to take a photo outside and paint that image using only one color and a range of values.

For this project I took a picture of a bench on campus, I chose to do purple for the color because i wanted the challenge of having to mix the base color

I struggled with the technique, painting has never been my strong-suit, realism is something else I struggled with. once i went a bit more stylistic with it, it became much more appealing to me.
